Timur M. Suleimenov was born on April 5, 1978.
In 2000, he graduated from S.Toraigyrov Pavlodar State University, with degree in economics and management in social sphere, and in 2006, S.Toraigyrov Pavlodar State University, with degree in law.
In 2002, under the “Bolashak” presidential scholarship he graduated from the University of Maryland with a Master's Degree in Business Administration, Management, Master of Business with a specialization in Finance. He holds the certification in the Association of Chartered Accountants and Auditors in the UK
He began his career as Economist-Manager at the family outpatient clinic №3 in Pavlodar.
From 2002 to 2006, he was the Chief consultant at the “Ernst & Young Kazakhstan” in Almaty.
From 2006 to 2009, he worked as Director Department for Tax accounting and tax planning at the “Exploration and production “KazMunaiGas” JSC.
From 2009 to 2010, he held the position of the Vice-Minister of Economy and Budget Planning of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
From 2010 to 2012 - Vice-Minister of Economic Development and Trade of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
From 2012 to 2016, he was the member of the Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission (Minister) for economy and financial policy.
From 2016 to 2019, he served as Minister of National Economy of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Since March 31, 2017, he was elected a member of the Board of Directors of “KazAgro” National Holding.
From February to March of 2019, he was the Deputy Chairman of the National Bank of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Since March till July of 2019, he was Aide to the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan on economic affairs.
On July 22, 2019, by the Decree of the Head of State he was appointed Deputy Chief of Staff of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
He is awarded with the order “Qurmet” (Honour), “Eren enbegi ushin” (For Distinguished Labour) and other medals.
