Structure of the Executive Office / Structural subdivisions

Secretariat of the Security Council

The Secretariat of the Security Council is a structural subdivision of the Executive Office of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Tasks and functions of the Secretariat of the Security Council include:

Provision of realisation of the President’s powers in the field of defensibility and security of the state, provision of the activity of the Security Council of the Republic of Kazakhstan

  1. preparation of materials on topical issues of provision of national security, including the annual report to the President on  security of the Republic of Kazakhstan;
  2. control of realisation by state bodies of the state policy in the field of defensibility and security of the state, execution of acts and instructions of the President and protocols of sessions of the Security Council, including performing checkups.

Provision of realisation of the President’s other powers:

  1. participation in preparation of the draft of the annual Address of the President to the People of Kazakhstan on the situation in the country and main directions of internal and foreign policy of the Republic of Kazakhstan;
  2. consideration of addresses of individuals and legal bodies, reception of citizens;
  3. other functions defined by the President, Head of the Executive Office, Aide to the President - Secretary of the Security Council and (or) the senior staff of the Executive Office.
